There is such thing as write only memory.
Basically it is a memory for the operations which include only writing.
And such memory is supporting read and write operations in itself.
The not so good example is a piece of paper.
It is write only, if the reading device does not identify its symbols.
However it is overwritable if the first layer of some content was written by one color and another layer is written by another different color.
If the reading device starts to identify its symbols, then such piece of paper as a memory is again a read and write memory for such reading device.
So write only memory is in itself is read and write memory with only one port, adapter, controller, some other device which allows only writing operations.
Such other devices for in and out operations on the border of human culture and nature are the toilet sinks as a not so good analogy.
I use only out operations for the toilet sinks for its intention by design.
However dogs and cats use it as well for the in operations, drinking water from it sometimes.
Some people claim that the applicability of such memory is almost equals to zero.
It is true, until the following situation is possible.
Some write only memory can be turned into read and write memory after addition of the reading device with reading functionality in it. As well as removal vice versa.
